Below are the top five most-efficient companies in the Computer Hardware industry as ranked by Revenue Per Employee (RPE).

Analysts use RPE as a measure to compare the productivity of companies in the same industry.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) ranks first with an RPE of $1.66M; Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ:SMCI) ranks second with an RPE of $0.86M; and Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) ranks third with an RPE of $0.61M.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) follows with an RPE of $0.41M and 3PAR (NYSE:PAR) rounds out the top five with an RPE of $0.35M.
